Born in Mecca
Born in Mecca to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hp) and Lady Khadija (sa), about five years after the beginning of revelation according to many Shi‘i reports.
615 CE / 5 BHLoss of Her Mother
Lady Khadija (sa) passed away in the Year of Sorrow. Young Fatemeh grew into a source of comfort and tenderness for her father during the harsh Makkan years.
619 CE / 10 BHHijrah to Medina
She later joined the migration to Medina, where the first Muslim community took lasting shape and the household of the Prophet entered a new chapter.
622 CE / 1 AHUnion with Imam Ali (as)
Her marriage to Imam Ali (as) in 2 AH is remembered as a luminous model of simplicity, devotion, and shared service to Allah.
624 CE / 2 AHHer Blessed Household
Their home was blessed with Imam Hasan, Imam Husayn, Lady Zaynab, and Lady Umm Kulthum. Shi‘i reports also speak of al-Muhsin, who did not live to be born.

After the passing of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hp), Lady Fatemeh (sa) entered a period of grief marked by public and private trial.
632 CE / 11 AHThe Sermon of Fadak
Her famous sermon in Medina defended her claim to Fadak while also restating principles of tawhid, prophethood, justice, and fidelity to revelation.
632 CE / 11 AHHer Return to Allah
She passed away only a few months after the Prophet. In Shi‘i remembrance, she was buried at night and her exact resting place was left concealed.
